the basic answer is,dreams of hope and love. to really answer tarot in depth. i ask what method was used for this reading.was any of the cards reversed and is this reading for yourself or someone else.
Suggestion by Helen
Among other things, it depends on whether it was a general reading or if you asked a specific question, what spread positions the cards were in, and whether or not they were reversed.
Basic general card meanings:
Moon – imagination, intuition, subconscious mind, deception, illusion, depression, mood swings
Star – inspiration
Lovers – choices, conscience
These are all Major Arcana cards so if you were using the full deck including Minor Arcana these cards represent major life issues/lessons and not mundane stuff.

That cannot be answered correctly with the information you are providing. Were these three cards in answer to a specific question? Are they part of a larger reading. It is not possible to give a good analysis without more info.
Can anyone tell me the meaning of the Knight of Cups in a tarot card reading?
The woman reading my cards said that this card was my card, and I’m just curious as to what this card means in general.
Suggestion by Hatir Ba Loon
It depends. Tarot cards have different meanings depending on where they are in a spread, and what cards are in relation to it…I think tho that it might have been used as a “Querent” or a card used in the spread to represent the person asking the question.
If the reader knows the questioner, they might pick the card based off of personality, which would mean it would be indicating A talented young person, romantic, and possibly an artist of some sort…
However, if they don’t know you, they’ll pick a card which kind of matches the physical description, which is, light/medium brown hair, hazel eyes, and medium skin..

The Knight of Cups-
Upright – Change and new excitements, particularly of a romantic nature. invitations, opportunities, and offers. A person who is a bringer of ideas, opportunities and offers. He is often constantly bored and in constant need of stimulation, but also artistic and refined. A person who is amiable, intelligent full of high principals, but a dreamer who can be easily led or discouraged.
Ill Dignified or Reversed – Unreliability and recklessness. Fraud, embezzlement, false promises and trickery. A person who is congenital liar, someone who has trouble discerning the end of the truth and the beginning of falsehood.-

When a knight card is evident it is saying balance is needed in the person’s life…
On the positive side, the Knight of Cups is a sensitive soul. He is a poet – a lover of all things romantic and refined. He uses his imagination in wondrous ways and taps the deepest levels of emotion. He knows how to create beauty and share it with others. On the negative side, this Knight is prone to flights of fancy and illusion. His melodramatic moods are legendary, and his emotions often get the better of him. He’s too temperamental and takes offense easily. He can’t stand unpleasantness and will always let others deal with it.
In readings, a Knight of Cups shows that his sensitive style is involved in the situation as an aspect of you, someone else or the atmosphere in general. You need to ask yourself, “Is this Knight’s energy helping or hurting?”
If his style is evident, then balance is needed. Are your feelings appropriate or excessive? Are your daydreams unrealistic? Is someone’s moodiness driving you crazy? Is your home life ruled by emotion rather than common sense? It may be time for a change.
If this Knight’s energy is missing, a dose of poetry may be called for. Are you too restrained? Express your feelings. Do you always make the most practical choice? Go for the extravagant one instead. Do you avoid introspection? Take some time to look within and think about your life…
